Come on down to The Brunswick Green next Thursday for a night of solo piano performance, featuring two of Melbourne’s finest pianists. One set each, with a possible duet at the end of night.

About the performers:
Adam Rudegeair is a pianist, educator, and broadcaster based in Melbourne.
His portfolio of projects is sprawling, and includes Lake Minnetonka, The Bowie Project, Retconned Bond, and Bourbon St to Brunswick St (a collaboration with Australian jazz legend Bob Sedergreen).
In 2021 Adam completed his Master of Music (Contemporary Practice) at Box Hill Institute. His thesis was titled 'Strange Changes: Re-imagining Jazz Structures for Improvisation Utilising the Compositions of David Bowie'. He is the composer of two independent Australian feature film soundtracks — Trench (2018) and Apparitions (2021).
Adam has been the musical director for Henry Manetta and the Trip since the early 2000s, and has worked as MD for many overseas acts on their Australian tours, including Dr Fink (Prince and the Revolution) and Ashley Tamar Davis (New Power Generation, he Voice). He moonlights in many other groups including Real Life, Lee Jones Quintet, Nadira and Friends, and Brian El Dorado and the Tuesday People.
Since 2008 Adam has hosted the weekly jazz radio program ‘Black Wax’ on PBS 106.7fm, where he has interviewed a many of his musical heroes including Kurt Elling, Jacob Collier, Janelle Monae, Dr John, Chick Corea, Esperanza Spalding, and Maceo Parker.
Born into a musical family, Jeremy Poole-Johnson began learning piano from his parents at the age of 5. In his teenage years he developed a keen interest in jazz, classical, and progressive rock music, going on to study at the esteemed West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, where he earned a bachelor with honours. Several years ago, Jeremy moved to Melbourne where he has continued his post graduate studies at Melbourne University. He has performed around Melbourne in a variety of jazz and progressive rock outfits, as well as composed classical works for a variety of ensembles, including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
