Hinano Fujisaki (tenor saxophone), Harley Coleman (guitar) and Chloe Kim (drums) are three bright young voices in Sydney's jazz scene. After meeting as fellow students in the jazz course at the Sydney Conservatorium, the band was formed through friendship and a mutual desire to pursue their own sound. Displaying maturity beyond their years, Sandcastles' approach cuts to the core of the jazz spirit: group improvisation, led by well-crafted melodies, channelled with inventiveness and clarity through each instrumental voice.
This live performance of Sandcastles' recent album 'Where You Came From' will showcase the lyrical compositions and masterful interplay of three musicians.

Joseph Batrouney and Jacques Emery met at the AAO’s Creative Music Intensive in 2017, and instantly bonded over rhythms and jokes. Living in different cities (Melbourne and Sydney) has limited their chances to play together, so they are thrilled to present their debut set where they will probe each other’s rhythmic vocabularies with surprising and joyous results
