The Luke Andresen Quartet is comprised of Melbourne-based improvisers/composers Luke Andresen (Drums/Compositions), Bernard Alexander (Saxophones), Andrea Keller (Piano) and Sam Anning (double bass). The compositions are specifically written to showcase each musician with an emphasis on organic growth and decay throughout each piece and to take the audience on a Journey as an active participant in this. Andresen’s compositions reflect life in Melbourne as a creative musician and the unique scene that all of the band members have influenced/been influenced by.
