Eastern Rebellion Quintet @ Brunswick Green

Eastern Rebellion quintet is a newly formed jazz quintet based in Melbourne/Naarm, featuring some of its finest upcoming young musicians. With soaring melodies and mesmerising grooves, the group aims to capture the spirit of hard bop / post bop period.

Heavily inspired by the series of Albums spearheaded by jazz pianist Cedar Walton from 1975 to 1984, the band will play a selection of tunes from the albums, as well as compositions written by Walton’s contemporaries. You can expect to hear hit tunes written by Wayne shorter, Art Blakey , Herbie Hancock and so on.
