‘Sol e Alma’, Sun and Soul, return in 2023 to perform Choro from the heart of the Brazilian lands.

Since 2016 Sol e Alma have performed in iconic venues around Melbourne and also at the Port Fairy and Castlemaine Jazz Festivals, performing the Classic Choro from Chiquinha Gonzaga and Pixinguinha to the modern, Hermeto Pascoal, Toninho Ferragutti and Pedro Paes, to original compositions. Brazilian Choro invokes nostalgia, fun, energy and drive and captures and celebrates the essence of the Brazilian heart and Soul.

Sol e Alma recorded their debut album in November 2019, and released their album at the Paris Cat in April 2021. Their debut album features Chorinho in varying different styles, from the classic to the modern.

Sol e Alma are looking forward to performing and taking you on a journey into the infectious rhythms of Brazil. A fun and electric afternoon awaits!
