“LazyBones consists of two trombones, piano, bass and drums and is modelled on the famous and popular J. J. Johnson - Kai Winding quintet of the 1950s. Don Jordan started the group in 1988 and it has been a part of the Melbourne jazz scene ever since, playing pubs, restaurants, clubs and festivals. We play well-loved standard songs by composers like Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Hoagy Carmichael, swinging jazz, blues and original tunes. The band's sound is fresh and our music appeals to a wide range of listeners.

The present crew consists of Don and Lachlan Smith on trombones, Patrick Barton Grace on piano, Anton Schulz on bass and Jordan Warwick on drums.”
