Hello everyone, next Tuesday night is Passionate Tongues night! And the feature performer is Ela Fornalska.
Ela would most likely disagree with me if I say that she has been a very important part of Melbourne poetry for a long time. But let me state my case: Since first seeing her at Babble in the roaring days of poetry here she has stood out as one of the most excited to be there in the scene. One who has a love for words and does not hold back about telling you so. she has run a wonderful gig called Paperwaves and her book of poetry is an absolute treasure. There are few people in the scene that read as though what they are giving to the audience is a pleasure and every word is a treasured gift to them. Every time Ela takes the stage is a moment that the audience knows that this is what they came to listen to. This will be an an evening to remember.
