Melbourne based composer, bassist and producer Ross Anderson debuts his new project: Ross Anderson Cubism Sextet. By finding parallels between the iconic, fragmented painting techniques used by cubist artists and music composition techniques, Ross has composed a work utilising these techniques to inform musical interpretations of cubist paintings. His new ensemble features the finest emerging Melbourne musicians including: Zac O’Connell on alto, Maddison Carter on drums, Robbie Belchamber on guitar, Matt Obrien on trombone and Eitan Ritz on effects and processing.
