Back for the second time (because we couldn't get enough!) McCooey/Morley is a new collaboration between two inspiring cellists.
The Pat Telfer Music Group is an evolving group of artists who use collective improvisation as a vehicle for transcendence. Music is a temporal experience that exists within space, and the PTMG aims to transform the space and time it occupies through connection, community and musical interaction. Music is a language of love, expression and freedom, but it becomes mired in capital when run through the prism of music ‘industry’ (one which serves advertisers/venue owners/alcohol retailers more than it ever does musicians). The PTMG puts a spotlight on these concerns in the search for new musical perspectives and ways of being.
Joining Pat at the Brunswick Green will be Gen Kuner (sax), Nelson Becks (double bass), Siwei Wong (harp), Abby Sundborn (cello), Ollie Cox (electronics), Barbara Brady (drum), Matt Dooley (drum), Quinn Knight (drum), Alex Siderov (drum), Kyrie Anderson (drum) and Briony Barr (live drawing).
