WTF Tuesdays are back at the Green! A new series mixing up jazz improv sessions- contemporary classical- and live scores to classic movies.
This Tuesday features 2 sets from the amazing electronic musician Iran Sanadzadeh:
Structures of Change (ft. Niran Dasika & Flora Carbo) //
Sneaky debut of the new band, featuring music inspired by the poetry of Ben Lerner, living close to train lines, and the intersection between friendship and inspiration. This band uses noise spectra as a bed of possibility from which timbres arise. The sounds of the instruments blend and hide within each other’s textures so that the unity of the final texture transcends individual utterances of events.
Iran Sanadzadeh & Niran Dasika //
Niran and Iran explore sound, time, spectrum and elegant pathways of sonic transformation using a mix of acoustic and electronic means. Niran Dasika is a trumpeter, improvisor and composer based in Melbourne, Australia, known for his distinctive, ethereal trumpet sound and compositions. Iran Sanadzadeh is a composer and a performer of electronic music on her pressure-sensitive floors. This duo will explore the sonic overlaps between an instrumental practice of electronic sound and electronically transformed instrumental sound.
Music from 8:30pm // Tickets $15 (or pay what you can at the door)
