WTF Tuesdays are back at the Green! A new series mixing up jazz improv sessions- contemporary classical- and live scores to classic movies.
This Tuesday features sets from Translucid & Knotting.
TRANSLUCID //
Translucid are an ensemble made up of ten composers/improvisers/sound artists based in Naarm. Through a diverse musical practice, they combine the aesthetics of a wide range of timbres and genres in lively and exciting, improvised performances. Each member of the collective is emphatically their own artist who brings unique influences, musical skills and diverse ways of thinking to their performance. This is exemplified through the weaving of electronics with acoustic instruments, and drawing on elements from various genres such as Indian Classical music, Brazilian jazz, rock, EDM, and western classical art music, etc.

KNOTTING //
Knotting is the collaborative project of electronic artist Matt Sabbadini (Third Space) and
experimental vocalist Georgia Gamper (Things Unsaid). Born of an urge to explore the contrasts
and similarities of both artist’s music, the duo create works of manipulated voice complemented
by electro-acoustics and synthesis. Intimate whisperings stay tight-knit with modular embrace; a
timbral dream emerging.
