Bektet is the brainchild of jazz saxophonist and composer Jared Becker. The ensemble plays music influenced by the energetic and dynamic modern jazz scene of new york - inspired by musicians such as Immanuel Wilkins, Eric Harland, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Brian Blade. Becker's compositions are thematic, spiritual & emotive - with open forms that allow for the ensemble to build, conveying improvisational storytelling to their listeners.

Tonight will feature two sets of original music from 7-9pm + some covers by Walter Smith III, Braxton Cook, and Ambrose Akinmusire.
