The Boite's Suitcase: Earth Music Open Mic returns in 2020 at a new home, The Brunswick Green.

Suitcase is an opportunity to hear music from all over the world, recognising the contribution that musicians have been making to our lives for thousands of years and the invaluable heritage they carry with them as they move from one place to another.

These events do not adhere to any particular genre or style. They offer musicians, wherever they may be from, an opportunity to be heard in a city that abounds with diversity but has very limited outlets for showcasing it musically. Each month, we will showcase 4 different performers.

In March and April, Suitcase will feature the great, great Adam Simmons, one of Australia's most prolific and varied artists, whether as an acclaimed multi-instrumentalist performing in a myriad of ensembles, creator of his unique musical sculptures or specialised educator in improvisation, instrumental technique and shakuhachi.

Adam will conclude the evening by leading a collaboration between all the musicians who will be performing on the night. who are, to say the least, incredibly diverse!
